DESCRIPTION

For our first EVA, we wanted to give a maximum of dynamism to the statue whether through the position of the Eva, the movement of waves and of course the cape that brings a real movement to the whole. Regarding the Eva-02, the goal was to achieve the most faithful version that is, so it was carved from the original references of the anime series and painted from an official painting Gaia Evangelion Color Series. We opted for a satin paint rendering in keeping with the tone of the series, and the military use of these robots. The reflections are very little suggested in the anime and a glossy rendering would have been out of sync with the original series. The aircraft carrier is teeming with details, one can perceive its missile lances, its turrets, its anchors and even a jet fighter in full fall following the jump of the Eva on the carrier aircraft. You can also see the impacts of Eva’s feet on the launching ramp. Particular attention was paid to the wave movements that were performed by a specialist in special effects. Finally, the black base decorated with patterns that can be found in the series ends with a red border that recalls the main color of the Eva-02. A masterpiece for Evangelion fans!
