Implementation of an internal management system for social and environmental risks
Client : Duval Group
As part of the development and implementation of its projects in Africa, the Duval Group’s real estate department must regularly meet a set of obligations in terms of producing documentation for the management of social and environmental impacts in order to satisfy the various stakeholders of the project, whether international (financial) or national (national regulations) institutions. The Duval Group’s real estate department thus wished to set up an internal environmental and social risk management system.
The main objective of this assignment was to develop a toolkit for the internal environmental and social management system to track all the needs in terms of monitoring and evaluation of environmental and social risk management, depending on the nature of the project and the logic, strategies and capabilities of the Duval Group’s real estate department.
Insuco provided the following deliverables:
- An internal Environmental and Social Management System with all inherent tools;
- A revised organization chart for the department in charge, with job descriptions;
- A training provided to all those in charge to take ownership of the management system;
- Training materials and a practical guide to using the toolbox.
