Dec 2020 | News from Insuco

The RSE & PED network, with the support of Proparco, organized a capacity building workshop on the IFC Performance Standards from November 30th to December 3rd, 2020, which took place simultaneously in three countries (Abidjan, Dakar and Tangier) and virtually. The main objectives of this workshop, aimed specifically at companies, local consultants and financial institutions, were to: (i) to develop the capacities of companies in Francophone Africa to implement the IFC Performance Standards; (ii) to develop the capacities of consultants in Francophone Africa to implement the IFC Performance Standards (impact studies, training, support for companies to set up a social and environmental management system); (iii) to construct a solid network of experts (companies, consultants and investors) of the IFC Performance Standards in Francophone Africa.

Peter Hochet, General Manager for Africa of Insuco, had the honor to participate in this workshop, which brought together virtually more than 50 people and about fifteen people in each city, as facilitator but also trainer, during the afternoon of December 02nd (training on PS5 of the IFC).

Many thanks to RSE & PED for their invitation and to all the speakers (in particular, Ramboll Management Consulting and ESG Africa) and participants for these enriching exchanges!
