Management of social impacts and risks
Our studies identify the risks and opportunities associated with a project, to better prevent or mitigate negative impacts, while maximising positive impacts. We consider these processes throughout the life of the project or programme, from its initial stages (exploration and pre-feasibility phases of the project, design of a development programme, etc.) to the closure phase or cessation of activities.
We adopt participatory approaches, allowing us to build operational instruments (social management plan, community investment strategy…), as well as adapted monitoring and evaluation mechanisms. We consider these tools in such a way as to switch from a transactional and bilateral logic, where our clients are often placed at the centre of all expectations related to the territory, to a transformational and multi-stakeholder logic, where the various stakeholders share responsibilities.
The objective is thus to reduce the territory’s long-term dependence on the company or programme concerned, and to favour the diversification of the local economy and sources of financing.
