Cultural heritage and archaeology studies

Heritage is always associated with living cultural, museum, national, local, and ritual practices. It concerns the history, the present, the future and the identities of communities, in a dynamic manner with historical contexts and social tensions. It is therefore essential that the management of this heritage, both tangible and intangible, be done in a concerted manner with stakeholders, in order to build together initiatives and procedures that are locally significant and recognised in a sustainable manner.

To respond to these issues, we base our approach on a methodology inspired by ethnology and sociology, strongly focused on fieldwork. We implement heritage impact studies, preventive archaeology and ethno-archaeological studies, carried out by experienced researchers, in accordance with recognised ethical charters, as well as with local and/or international reference standards in terms of safeguarding cultural heritage.

This in-depth analysis enables us to assess, measure and analyse the risks and potentials of the projects concerned, and to formulate appropriate technical and social strategies and recommendations, so as to foster a constructive and lasting relationship with the communities, as well as the monitoring of cultural practices in the long term.

This leads to operational results, such as the production of concerted management plans and the elaboration of GIS with the inventory of all sensible areas, to allow the integration of this data into the design phases of the project.
